JMU could build on top of Godwin Hall which I believe Cincinnati did with Nippert Stadium. Regardless whether JMU builds on top of Godwin or demolishes Godwin, JMU will have to decide if it wants to continue having majority of the people (maybe everyone) from entering the stadium in that open space near Godwin. It is an issue because of the terrain around Bridgeforth which could limit how many entry points JMU could have around the stadium. There is a small hill behind the one end zone stands. Plus, as you can see in the picture there is an active train track running close behind the end zone stands. I have seen reports over the years where JMU has considered whether to turn Bridgeforth into a horseshoe stadium or not.

If JMU does decide to demolish Godwin, then it will have to decide where to build the new aquatic center and what to do about with all the lost offices that were in Godwin. At least I don't see JMU opting to discontinuing its swimming and diving teams. WRT the parking issue, it may not be an issue after all. If you look at the picture, then I believe JMU built a parking garage on the expanded stadium side. Godwin's parking lot is large enough where JMU could build 2 (maybe 3) parking garages to increase the parking capacity.
